David Sperling has practiced immigration law since 1995, serving the legal needs of immigrants and other low-income communities with four offices on Long Island. Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Sperling worked as a foreign correspondent in Central America, and then later as a journalist for the Miami Herald and Newsday.
Although no longer a journalist, he continues to write articles for legal publications and the mainstream media, where he is often sought to provide expert commentary on immigration issues. Mr. Sperling’s clients have been featured in the New York Times, USA Today, Newsday and all the major American and Latin American television networks. Over the past 24 years, he has been a frequent panelist and lecturer on immigration and minority rights issues.

Mr. Sperling began his legal career with CARECEN, the Central American Refugee Center, where he worked as volunteer, preparing asylum applications for Salvadoran and Guatemalan asylum applicants. About David M. Sturman
MARLENE TAYLOR, Client Contact Administrator, grew up in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico and has since resided in all three countries of North America. She has worked providing health care services to rural Mayan villages in Yucatan, Mexico, tree planting in British Columbia, Canada, teaching Latin and Spanish, and organizing and guiding mission trips in the United States and Mexico. Marlene holds two Bachelor of Science degrees and completed three years of graduate studies in Biochemical Engineering. She loves to travel and once took a six-month trek from Edmonton, Alberta to Mexico in a 1971 VW Combi. She enjoys gardening, watching a good movie, catching up on the latest news from the Marvel Universe, and listening to an eclectic blend of music.

A native of Connecticut, Deborah holds a business degree from Florida International University. She lived in various cities across the United States before moving to Denver. She obtained a paralegal certificate from Aurora Community College before joining our office. Deborah enjoys being outdoors, especially if a tropical beach is involved. She is an aviation enthusiast and has accumulated flight time towards her Private Pilot license.
